1. Who we are

BeTrueToYou (betruetoyou.ca) is operated by Prince Kerr Inc. ("we", "us"), 375 University Avenue, Suite 3299, Toronto, Ontario M5G 2J5, Canada. Prince Kerr is our Privacy Officer and is accountable for how personal information is handled under Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), Québec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25), and, where they apply, other privacy laws such as the EU/UK GDPR.

2. What we collect

  • Information you give us: your name, email address, city, and anything you choose to write when you join a newsletter or waitlist, take the Life Alignment Quiz, request The Reset Blueprint, submit a review, send a corporate inquiry (company, role, team size, timeline), or chat with Amelia.
  • Quiz answers and results (your archetype), so we can send you your result.
  • Payment details for Clarity Calls are entered directly with Stripe. We never see or store your full card number; we receive your name, email, amount, and payment status.
  • Booking details you provide to Calendly (Clarity Calls) or WeTravel (retreats) are governed by those platforms' policies.
  • Technical data such as browser type, device, pages visited and approximate location — only if you accept analytics or marketing cookies (see section 5).

3. How we use it

  • To deliver what you asked for: confirmation and welcome emails, quiz results, workbooks, event and retreat updates, booking confirmations, and replies to inquiries.
  • To send our newsletter and event announcements when you have subscribed. Every email includes an unsubscribe link.
  • To understand which pages and offers are helpful (analytics), and to measure our advertising (marketing) — only with your consent.
  • To review chat conversations with Amelia so we can improve answers and follow up on requests you make in the chat.
  • To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations, prevent fraud, and keep the site secure.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing.

4. Consent & your choices

We rely on your consent, which you give when you submit a form, book, or accept optional cookies. You may withdraw consent at any time by clicking "unsubscribe" in any email, changing your , or writing to admin@betruetoyou.ca. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that already took place.

5. Cookies & tracking

When you first visit, a banner asks for your choice. No analytics, advertising pixels or optional third-party scripts load until you click "Accept All" or switch on a category in Preferences. "Reject All" is just as easy as "Accept All", and you can change your mind at any time from the "Cookie Preferences" link in every page footer.

Fonts are hosted on our own server, so loading a page does not send your information to Google Fonts. Links to Spotify, YouTube, Instagram, Discord, Eventbrite or WeTravel take you to those services, whose own policies then apply. Your choice is remembered for 12 months, after which we ask again.

6. Who we share with

We share personal information only with service providers that help us run BeTrueToYou, under contracts that require them to protect it:

  • Brevo (email delivery and mailing lists) and Hostinger Reach (waitlists);
  • Hostinger (website hosting);
  • Stripe (payments), Calendly (scheduling) and WeTravel (retreat bookings);
  • our AI chat provider, which processes chat messages to generate Amelia's replies;
  • analytics and advertising providers listed in section 5 — only if you consent.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect our rights, our clients, or the public.

7. Where data is stored

Some of our providers store or process information outside Québec and Canada, including in the United States and the European Union. When information leaves your province or country, it may be accessible to authorities there under local law. Before such transfers, we assess that the information will receive adequate protection, as required by Law 25.

8. How long we keep it

We keep newsletter and waitlist information until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it; inquiry and chat records for up to 24 months; and payment and accounting records for the period required by Canadian tax law (generally 6 years). After that, we securely delete or anonymize it.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may ask to access the personal information we hold about you, correct it, have it deleted, receive a copy in a portable format, or withdraw consent. Québec residents may also ask to be informed of, and object to, any processing that uses technology to profile them. We respond within 30 days. To make a request, email admin@betruetoyou.ca; we may ask you to verify your identity.

10. Security

We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, and reputable providers. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but if a privacy incident creates a risk of serious harm, we will notify affected people and the appropriate authorities as the law requires.

11. Children

Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Changes

We may update this policy as our services or the law change. The date at the top shows the latest version; material changes will be highlighted on this page.
